Henry Shanks 
Henry was born in 1856 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Henry's father was John S. Shanks and his mother was Nancy. His paternal grandfather was John Shanks. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William, Jacob, James, George, Susan, Jane, Emeline and Sarah. He was the third youngest of the nine children.
