Robert D. Self

Robert D. was born on May 28th, 1812 in Gap Creek, Greene, Tennessee.¹   Robert D.'s father was Jesse Self and his mother was Agnes Dobson.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Self and Elizabeth; his maternal grandfather was John Dobson. He had five brothers and a sister, named Elijah R., Josiah, Lewis, Joseph, Reese V. and Lucinda.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 46 on February 14th, 1859.¹
