James Ooton

James was born on May 16th, 1830 in ,Pike, Kentucky.¹   James' father was Levi Ooton and his mother was Alpha Omega Tailor.  His paternal grandparents were Silax Penix (Silas Phoenix) Wooton and Phebe Worth. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Jordon, Silas, Jeremiah, Allen, Aaron, John, Steven Alexander, Mary Ann, Alpha Elizabeth and Nancy.  He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 25 on October 20th, 1855.¹
