Sarah Hicks

Sarah was born in 1831 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   Sarah's father was Reuben Hicks and her mother was Mary Mottern.  Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Hicks and Mary. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Henry Jack, Jacob, William Cate, John Elbert, Mary Ann and Melissa E..  She was the oldest of the seven children.
