Melissa E. Hicks

Melissa E. was born in 1851 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   Melissa E.'s father was Reuben Hicks and her mother was Mary Mottern.  Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Hicks and Mary. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Henry Jack, Jacob, William Cate, John Elbert, Sarah and Mary Ann.  She was the youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 75 in 1926.¹
