Eliza Jane Hale 
Eliza Jane was born on February 20th, 1821 in ,Sullivan, Tennessee.1 Eliza Jane's father was Philip Smith Hale and her mother was Elizabeth Bachman. Her paternal grandparents were Philip Heale and Catherine Douglas; her maternal grandparents were Nathan Bachman and Ann Peoples. She had three brothers and nine sisters, named Nathan Bachman, Philip Smith, William Douglas, Catherine Ann, Julia Ann, Sarah Amanda, Matilda Antoinette, Mary Bachman, Frances Louisa, Adelaide, Cornelia Josephine and Martha Ellen. She was the second oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 61 on October 16th, 1882.1 -
