William Dykes 
William was born on August 23rd, 1805 in Hawkins, Tennessee. William's father was John Netherland Dykes and his mother was Susannah Robertson. His paternal grandparents were William Dykes and Susannah Lankford. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Henry, James, John Netherland, Thomas, Isham, Mary and Susannah. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 55 in 1860.-
