James Dykes 
James was born on June 28th, 1809 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee. James' father was John Netherland Dykes and his mother was Susannah Robertson. His paternal grandparents were William Dykes and Susannah Lankford. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, William, Henry, John Netherland, Thomas, Isham, Mary and Susannah. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 94 in 1903 in Hawkins County, Tennessee.-
