John Netherland Dykes

John Netherland was born in 1771 in , Surry, North Carolina.  John Netherland's father was William Dykes and his mother was Susannah Lankford.  His paternal grandparents were John Dykes and Judith Lewis. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Isham, James, John, William, Mary, Priscilla, Sarah and Anna.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 59 in 1830 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.
