John Quincy Simmonds 
John Quincy was born on January 31st, 1905 in , Bell County, Texas.1 John Quincy's father was Horace Greely Simmonds and his mother was Truzilla Thompson. His paternal grandparents were John Quincy Adams Simmonds and Jane Porter; his maternal grandparents were Hiram Thompson and Elizabeth Jane Kegans. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Harry, Alfred Waldo, Hubert Virgil, Hyram Garland, Ruth, Gladys, Zellma Beatrice (Tommie) and Odell. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 61 on February 25th, 1966 in , Wilbarger, Texas.1 General Notes
