Alexander Hodge 
Alexander was born in 1760 in , Pennsylvania.1 Alexander's father was John Hodge. He was an only child. He died at the age of 76 in August 1836 in Hodge's Bend, Fort Bend, Texas.1 General Notes

He served with Marion and Sumpter in Partisan Warfare for the Carolinas. (Francis Marion's men were called the "Swamp Foxes" and engaged in what is now termed guerrilla warfare.)
He arrived in Austin's Colony in December of 1825. He was one of the Old Three Hundred. A monument was placed in Sam Houston Park, Houston, Texas in his name by the DAR in 1908.
