Alfred Waldo Simmonds 
Alfred Waldo was born on May 1st, 1897 in , Bell County, Texas.1 Alfred Waldo's father was Horace Greely Simmonds and his mother was Truzilla Thompson. His paternal grandparents were John Quincy Adams Simmonds and Jane Porter; his maternal grandparents were Hiram Thompson and Elizabeth Jane Kegans. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Harry, Hubert Virgil, John Quincy, Hyram Garland, Ruth, Gladys, Zellma Beatrice (Tommie) and Odell. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 53 on December 19th, 1950 in , Wilbarger, Texas.1 General Notes
