Robert Evans was born about 1767 in North Carolina.1 Robert Evans' father was John Grinder and his mother was Mary ?. He had a brother and five sisters, named Joshua, Katherine (Katy), Mary (Polly), Elizabeth, Betsey and Nelly. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died on July 3rd, 1827 in Hickman County, Tennessee. He was buried in Grinder Cemetery, Tennessee.1 1 General Notes
