Katherine (Katy) was born about 1764 in NC.1   Katherine (Katy)'s father was John Grinder and her mother was Mary ?. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Joshua, Robert Evans, Mary (Polly), Elizabeth, Betsey and Nelly.  She was the oldest of the seven children.
