No. 1526. Know ye that we have granted unto Rob ert Hays assignee of John
Grinder one thousand acres of land in our County of Davidson on the
Waters of West? Harpeth ____ beginning at William Polks Nort h West Corner
at a elm and ash and red oak. Then North with the East boundar y of said
Hayes 2560 Acres ____ three hundred and forty poles to a hackberry and
buckeye then East four hundred and seventy poles to two poplars then
so uth three hundred and forty poles to Polks North boundary then with his
west line four hundred and twenty poles to the beginning. To hold to the
said Rob ert Hays his heirs and assigns for ever dated the 14th day of
