Jasper Newton Garrett 
Jasper Newton was born on February 7th, 1853 in ,,N.C.. Jasper Newton's father was John Garrett and his mother was Mary Elizabeth (Polly) Osborn. His paternal grandparents were William Garrett and Jane Stroud; his maternal grandparents were James Osborn and Ann Johnson. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Isaac Henry, James M., John D., William Jordan, Lucius Leander, M. Johnson, Louisa A., Margaret A., Martha J., Nancy Adaline and Mary Melinda (Linda). He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 85 in 1938 in Gene Autry, Johnson Co., Oklahoma. He was buried in Berwyn Cemetery, Gene Autry, Oklahoma.-
