Martha Halbert was born on February 11th, 1854.1 Martha Halbert's father was Andrew Alexander Crawford and her mother was Rachel Tinnon. Her paternal grandparents were John Crawford and Margaret Buchanan. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Hugh, Andrew Neal, Margaret, Lucy, Emily and Alice.
