Sarah Hancock 
Sarah was born about 1820 in Harrison County, Indiana. Sarah's father was Samuel Hancock and her mother was Francis Anna Avery. Her paternal grandparents were John Hancock and Jane Skeen. She had four brothers and three sisters, named James B., George A., John Strange, Samuel Wesley, Nancy Jane, Mary A. and Catharine. She was the second oldest of the eight children.-
