Doctor Franklin Mahaffey 
Doctor Franklin was born on January 1st, 1834 in NC. Doctor Franklin's father was Joseph Mahaffey and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Allman. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Mahaffey and Elizabeth Cathey. He had three brothers and a sister, named Robert Andrew, William Rufus, Joseph S and Margaret L. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 73 on March 20th, 1907. He was buried in Old Mother Cemetery, Graham, NC.-
