William Cathey 
William was born on April 26th, 1741 in , Augusta, VA. William's father was Andrew Cathey and his mother was Rebecca Unknown. His paternal grandparents were James Cathey and Ann Unknown. He had a brother and three sisters, named James, Mary, Margaret and Ann. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 71 on December 23rd, 1812 in Richland Creek, Haywood, NC.-
