George Whitfield Hefley 
George Whitfield was born on May 24th, 1826 in , Henderson, TN. George Whitfield's father was Martin Hefley and his mother was Clarissa Ann Mahaffey. His paternal grandparents were Phillip Thomas Hefley and Mary Dever; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Mahaffey and Elizabeth Cathey. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William Vance, Joseph Mahaffey, Phillip Jackson, Samuel M, Eliza and Harriet Caroline. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 47 on April 22nd, 1874.-
