George Washington Gandy 
George Washington was born in 1795 in , Cumberland, NJ.1 George Washington's father was Henry Harris Gandy and his mother was Tamson Garrison. His paternal grandparents were Abijah Gandy and Mary Sheppard. He had a brother and six sisters, named Abijah, Mary, Phebe, Matilda, Ruth Sheppard, Tamson and Polly Shepherd. He had three half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Henry H, Shepherd M, John S, Margaret, Hannah, Rachel, Sarah Ann and Elizabeth Sheppard. He died at the age of 59 in 1854 in Cortland, DeKalb, IL. He was buried in 1854 in Ohio Grove Cemetery, Cortland, IL.1 1 -
