Cecilia was born in Bywell, Northamptonshire, England.1 Cecilia's father was John de Baliol Lord Galloway and her mother was Devorguilla MacDonald de Galloway. Her paternal grandparents were Hugh de Baliol Lord Gainford and Cecily de la Fontaine; her maternal grandparents were Alan of Galloway Earl of Galloway and Margaret de Huntington. that Cecily Baliol was the daughter of John Baliol &
Devorguilla.
CP, Cokayne, (I-385-6), clearly makes her a sister of Edward
Baliol, son of King John Baliol, and therefore a granddaughter
of John and Devorguilla.
