Agnes de Poitou was born about 1020 in Aquitaine, France.1 Agnes de Poitou's father was Guillaume III le Grand Ct of Poitou and her mother was Agnes de Macon. Her paternal grandparents were Guillaume II Ironarm de Poitou Ct of Poitou and Emmeline de Blois; her maternal grandparents were Othon-Guillaume de Macon Ct of Burgundy and Ermentrude de Roucy. She had two brothers named Guillaume (Pierre) V and Guy Geoffrey. She was the oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William VIII and Agnes. She died on December 14th, 1077 in Germany.1 General Notes
