Isabel was born in 1203.1 Isabel's father was William de Albini Earl of Sussex and her mother was Maud de Blundeville. Her paternal grandparents were William "le Breton" d'Aubigny Earl of Sussex and Matilda de St. Hilary du Harcourt; her maternal grandparents were Hugh de Keveliock Earl of Chester and Bertrade de Montfort. She had a sister named Nichola. She had two half-sisters named Margaret and Ada. She died at the age of 37 in 1240.1 General Notes
