Maud le Bigod

Maud was born in 1104 in of Belvoir Castle, Belvoir, Leicestershire.¹ Maud's father was Roger le Bigod and her mother was Adeliza de Grentmesnil. Her paternal grandparents were Robert le Bigod and daughter de St. Sauveur; her maternal grandparents were Robert de Grentmesnil and Advise (Hawisa) de Escalfoy. She had a brother named Hugh le Bigod. She had two half-sisters named Gunnor and Jane. She died at the age of 66 in 1170.¹
