Ola Mae was born on February 8th, 1910.1 Ola Mae's father was John Quincy Metze and her mother was Bessie Agnes Lindler. Her maternal grandparents were James Westley Lindler and Jane C. Boland. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Harold Eugene, John Calvin, Elliott Ray, Elliott Ray, James Elbert, Clara Elberta and Mattie Enoree. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She had two half-sisters named Lori Genivia and Olive.-
