Roger de Mortimer was born on May 3rd, 1287 in of Netherwood, Thornbury, Herefordshire, England/Thornbury, England.1   Roger de Mortimer's father was Edmund de Mortimer Lord Wigmore and his mother was Margaret de Fiennes.  His paternal grandparents were Roger Lord Mortimer and Maud de Braiose; his maternal grandparents were Sir William de Fiennes II Ct of Fiennes and Johanna de Dammartin. He had a sister named Maud.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 43 on November 29th, 1330 in Elms, Tyburn, Warwickshire, England.1
