Renaud I was born in 0990 in Bourgogne, France.1 Renaud I's father was Othon-Guillaume de Macon Ct of Burgundy and his mother was Ermentrude de Roucy. His paternal grandparents were Adalbert de Italia King of Lombardie and Gerberga de Macon Cts of Burgundy; his maternal grandparents were Renaud de Roucy Ct of Reimes and Alberade de Lorraine. He had two sisters named Gerberga and Agnes. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-sister named Beatrice. He died at the age of 67 on September 4th, 1057 in France.1 General Notes
