Lula Beatress was born in 1883 in Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Lula Beatress' father was Abraham Noah Boland and her mother was Martha A. Miller. Her paternal grandparents were Middleton Boland and Anna Barbara Frick. She had four brothers and eight sisters, named David Walter, Ernest, Herbert Antine, Henry Cecil, Nettie Alice, Essie Ellen, Leila Mae, Blanche, Anna Elizabeth, Winnie Maude, Gertrude Miller and Ninaleigh. She was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children. She died due to Died in infancy on May 18th, 1883 in Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina. She was buried in Boland Cemetery #2, Little Mountain, South Carolina.1 1 -
