Joseph Sam (Joe) Boland 
Joseph Sam (Joe) was born on March 9th, 1908 in Prosperity, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Joseph Sam (Joe)'s father was Columbus Boland and his mother was Anna Rebecca Cromer. His paternal grandparents were Sam Boland and Caroline Stockman. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Charlie Bachman, George Walter, James Andrew (Jimmy), Fred Eugene (Jack), Maggie Lee, Annie M., Ollie, Carrie E., Daisy, Betty, Lillian and Mary. He was the second oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 84 on December 16th, 1992 in Providence Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina. He was buried in Rosemont Cemetery, Newberry, South Carolina.1 1 -
