Daisy Boland 
Daisy was born in 1920 in Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Daisy's father was Columbus Boland and her mother was Anna Rebecca Cromer. Her paternal grandparents were Sam Boland and Caroline Stockman. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Charlie Bachman, Joseph Sam (Joe), George Walter, James Andrew (Jimmy), Fred Eugene (Jack), Maggie Lee, Annie M., Ollie, Carrie E., Betty, Lillian and Mary. She was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 80 on January 24th, 2000 in Newberry, Newberry County, South Carolina. She was buried on January 27th, 2000 in Newberry Memorial Gardens, Newberry, South Carolina.1 1 General Notes

Daisy Ruff
Newberry - Funeral services for Daisy Boland Ruff, 79, will be held at 3
p.m. Thursday at McSwain-Evans Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in
Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour
prior to the service. McSwain-Evans Funeral Home is in charge.
Mrs. Ruff, widow of Reuben Matthew Ruff, died Monday. Born in Newberry
County, she was a daughter of hte late Andrew B. and Anna Cromer Boland.
She was a retired cosmetologist and was a former employee of Newberry
Mills. She was a member of Glenn Street Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ruff is survived by her sisters, Lillian R. Rowe, Mary Hawkins, both
of Newberry, Betty Stone of Centrailia, Mo.; brother, Jimmy Boland of
North Charleston; number of nieces and nephews, including Robert Rowe,
who was reared in her home.
