Fred Eugene (Jack) was born on January 10th, 1922 in Prosperity, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Fred Eugene (Jack)'s father was Columbus Boland and his mother was Anna Rebecca Cromer. His paternal grandparents were Sam Boland and Caroline Stockman. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Charlie Bachman, Joseph Sam (Joe), George Walter, James Andrew (Jimmy), Maggie Lee, Annie M., Ollie, Carrie E., Daisy, Betty, Lillian and Mary. He was the second youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 51 on September 4th, 1973 in VA Hospital, Charleston, South Carolina. He was buried in Newberry Memorial Gardens, Newberry, South Carolina.1 1 -
