Shirley Carter Turner 
Shirley Carter was born on February 22nd, 1806 in "Shirley", Charles City Co., VA. Shirley Carter's father was Thomas Turner and his mother was Eliza Carter Randolph. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Turner and Jane Fauntleroy; his maternal grandparents were Robert Randolph and Elizabeth Hill Carter. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Henry Smith, Charles Cocke, Robert Randolph, Thomas, William Fitzhugh, Henry Smith, Edward Carter, Susan Baynton, Elizabeth Anne, Marietta Fauntleroy, Lavinia Beverley, Caroline Virginia and Eliza Carter Randolph. He was the sixth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 62 on December 20th, 1868.-
