His paternal grandparents were Peter Beverley and Susannah Hollis; his maternal grandparents were James Boyd and Catherine Crayke. He had two brothers and a sister, named Harry, Robert and Mary. He had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Thomas, John, Christopher, William, George, Walter, Catherine, Margaret and Mary. He died in 1728 in VA.-
