John Dow Thurston 
John Dow was born in 1842. John Dow's father was John Thurston and his mother was Louisa F. Poor. His paternal grandparents were John Thurston and Jane Page; his maternal grandparents were Edward H. Poor and Martha A. Carden. He had four brothers and five sisters, named William H., Edward W., Isaac Newton, Thomas I., Virginia, Elizabeth, Louisa A., Margaret J. and Victoria. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died after 1887.-
