William Stanley 
William was born on July 22nd, 1750 in Hanover Co., Virginia.1 William's father was Maddox Stanley and his mother was Huldah Magahe. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Stanley and Elizabeth Maddox; his maternal grandparents were Samuel McGehee and Mary Ladd. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Obediah, Maddox, John, Elizabeth, Mary, Rachel and Hulda.-
