Mary was born on October 17th, 1753 in Hanover Co., VA.1 Mary's father was Maddox Stanley and her mother was Huldah Magahe. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Stanley and Elizabeth Maddox; her maternal grandparents were Samuel McGehee and Mary Ladd. She had four brothers and three sisters, named William, Obediah, Maddox, John, Elizabeth, Rachel and Hulda.-
