William Ladd 
William was born in September 1679 in "Claytons", "Curles", Henrico Co., VA. William's father was John Ladd and his mother was Mary ?. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Amos, Huldah, Racell, Sarah and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 72 on December 27th, 1751 in Weyanoke, Charles City Co., VA.General Notes
Contributed 150 pounds of tobacco toward building a Quaker meeting house on 9 MAR 1700. Chosen "overseer" of Weyanoke Meeting in 1721. Served as a Quaker minister for 25 years at the Weyanoke Meeting House in Charles City Co., VA. Due to Quaker refusal to pay taxes, had seizure of a male slave & 300 pounds of tobacco on 3 DEC 1726.
