Gurley Stanley 
Gurley was born on December 18th, 1819. Gurley's father was Michael Stanley and his mother was Mary Gurley. His paternal grandparents were Strangeman Stanley and Jemima Mills; his maternal grandparents were John Gurley and Lydia ?. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, Jonathan, John, Moses, Aaron, Nathan, Ira, Josiah, Elizabeth, Abigail, Rebecca and Hannah. He was the youngest of the thirteen children.-
