Junius Hardin was born on September 8th, 1817 in Amelia Co., Virginia. Junius Hardin's father was Austin Seay and his mother was Sally Marshall Booker. His paternal grandparents were Moses Seay and Elizabeth Luck; his maternal grandparents were Efford Booker and Mary Hudson. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Richard Terrell, Efford Booker, George Nichola, William Eldridge, Samuel Richard, Austin Selden, Louisa Marshall and Sally Amelia Virginia. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He had four half-sisters named Juliana Harper, Augusta Tazwell, Evelin Elizabeth and Elvira Cornelia.General Notes
