Samuel Overton 
Samuel was born about 1711 in Hanover Co., Virginia. Samuel's father was James Overton and his mother was Elizabeth Truehart. His paternal grandparents were William Overton and Elizabeth Mary Waters. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William, James, John, Mary Garland Ann, Barbara, Nancy and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died before July 23rd, 1761 in Amelia Co., VA.-
