John Overton 
John was born in 1730 in Hanover Co., VA. John's father was James Overton and his mother was Elizabeth Truehart. His paternal grandparents were William Overton and Elizabeth Mary Waters. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Samuel, James, Mary Garland Ann, Barbara, Nancy and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 52 in 1782 in NC.-
