John Bailey Calvert was born on December 17th, 1891.1 John Bailey Calvert's father was John Bailey Nicklin and his mother was Elizabeth Kaylor. His paternal grandparents were John Bailey Nicklin and Catharine Thornton Pendleton; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Pringle Kaylor and Sarah Whitfield McBryde. He had three brothers named Benjamin Patten, Dwight Pendleton and Samuel Strang. He was the youngest of the four children.-
