William Pendleton

William was born in Essex Co., VA.¹   William's father was Nathaniel Pendleton and his mother was Elizabeth Clayton.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Pendleton and Mary Taylor; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Clayton and Elizabeth Pendleton. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Philip, Nathaniel, Mary, Elizabeth and Susannah.  He died on March 31st, 1817 in Berkeley Co., VA.¹
