Catharine Thornton was born on August 3rd, 1806 in "Locust Grove", VA.1 Catharine Thornton's father was Benjamin Pendleton and her mother was Elizabeth Strother. Her paternal grandparents were William Pendleton and Elizabeth Fargeson; her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Strother and Catherine Price. She had two brothers named Benjamin Strother and James William. She was the oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 68 on August 11th, 1874 in New Castle, PA.1 -
