Damaris Hawkins 
Damaris was born about 1847 in Madison Co., Virginia. Damaris' father was Augustine Hawkins and her mother was Matilda Wilhoit Finks. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Andrew Jackson, Alpheus Finks, Augustine, Abraham, Paschal Walker, Harriet J. House, Matilda Ann, Nancy Eve and Sarah Elizabeth. She was the second youngest of the ten children.
