Alpheus Finks Hawkins

Alpheus Finks was born on March 24th, 1830 in Madison Co., Virginia.  Alpheus Finks' father was Augustine Hawkins and his mother was Matilda Wilhoit Finks. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Andrew Jackson, Augustine, Abraham, Paschal Walker, Harriet J. House, Matilda Ann, Nancy Eve, Sarah Elizabeth and Damaris.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 84 on April 17th, 1914 in Madison Co., Virginia.  He was buried in Old Rosser Graveyard, Maple Hill Home.
