Whitaker Carter 
Whitaker's father was Edward Carter and his mother was Sarah Champe. His paternal grandparents were John Carter and Elizabeth Hill; his maternal grandparents were John Champe and Jane Thornton. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Charles, John Champe, Robert Hill, Edward Hill, William Champe, George, Jane, Mary Champe, Nancy, Sarah and Elizabeth. He died in 1821.-
