Mary Champe Carter 
Mary Champe was born in 1778 in "Blenheim", Albemarle Co., VA. Mary Champe's father was Edward Carter and her mother was Sarah Champe. Her paternal grandparents were John Carter and Elizabeth Hill; her maternal grandparents were John Champe and Jane Thornton. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Charles, John Champe, Robert Hill, Edward Hill, Whitaker, William Champe, George, Jane, Nancy, Sarah and Elizabeth. She died at the age of 68 in 1846.-
